Movicol Lemon and Lime flavoured sachets are used for the treatment of chronic constipation and faecal impaction in those aged 12 and over

Warning or Restrictions
Do not use if:
•The patient is aged under 12 years.
•For short term use only unless under medical supervision.
•Diagnosis of faecal impaction of the rectum should be confirmed by physical or radiological examination of the abdomen and rectum.
•The reconstituted solution only lasts 24 hours, after which it should be disposed. Store the reconstituted solution in a fridge.
•Please consult your pharmacist or doctor before using this medicine if you are currently pregnant, likely to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
•Please consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are currently taking any other medicines as this may cause an interaction.
•If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this medicine, please seek medical advice before taking.
•If you have any questions after you have bought this medication, please speak to your pharmacist.

Each sachet contains: Macrogol 3350 13.125mg, Sodium chloride 350.7mg, Sodium bicarbonate 178.5mg, Potassium chloride 46.6mg.

Product Uses
For chronic constipation in adults and children aged 12 years and older, take the contents of one to three sachets in water daily in divided doses. Use does not normally extend for more than 2 weeks.
For faecal impaction in adults and children aged 12 years and older, take the contents of eight sachets in water daily within a six hour period. Use does not normally extend for more than 3 days.
Tips and Advice
These healthy tips are recommended to try and prevent constipation from happening:
• Eat a balanced diet including fresh fruit and vegetables
• Drink enough water so that you do not become dehydrated (especially when using any laxatives)
• Exercise regularly and stay fit
• Make sure to empty your bowels when your body tells you
